Every now and then I am asked what an aura is. I sometimes forget and look at people and think why it’s the colour around your body can you not see it?

 I do believe however we all have the ability to see an aura but just not everyone is open to seeing an aura.

An aura is the electromagnetic field that surrounds the human body (Human Energy Field-HEF) and every organism and object in the Universe.

The Human Energy Field as a collection of electro - magnetic energies of varying densities that permeate through and emit or exit from the physical body of a living person. These particles of energy are suspended around the healthy human body in an oval shaped field. This "auric egg" emits out from the body approximately 2-3 feet (1 metre on average) on all sides. It extends above the head and below the feet into the ground

MEANINGS

AURA ETHERIC AURA

the atheric aura extends about two inches out from the physical body and is usually a shade of blue in colour. The shade of the blue relates to the physical condition and health of the physical body. Athletes have strong etheric auras of a deeper blue in shade. In the atheric aura you feel all the sensations, both pain and pleasure. Whenever there is pain the flow of energy in that area of the atheric is erratic.

EMOTIONAL AURA 

The emotional aura extends about two to four inches from the physical body and appears as rainbow coloured clouds. This aura is associated with feelings. Positive feelings generally create bright colours, where as negative feelings generally create dark colours. The mental aura extends about four to eight inches from the physical body and is usually shades of yellow in colour. Within this aura are our thoughts and mental processes. The more active our thinking processes the brighter our mental aura becomes.

ASTRAL AURA

The astral aura extends about eight to twelve inches from the physical body and appears as brightly coloured rainbow clouds. The astral aura is the bridge between the physical world and the spiritual world.

CELESTIAL AURA

The celestial aura extends about twenty four inches from the physical body and appears as a bright shimmering light of pastel colours. This is the level of feelings within the world of our spirit. Here we communicate with all the beings of the spiritual world.

To master how to see an aura it is very simple beginners should try using a low light.

Perhaps turning out your own bedroom light and laying on your bed.

This would be a great environment to relax you enough.

It is always best to close your curtains and leave a small amount of day light to pass through your curtain. As you lay on your bed hold your hands out at full distance in front of you. Don't stare hard but rather just gaze at your hands. Moving your hands slowly, bring your fingertips together until they are almost touching. You will notice a cloudy blue haze appear around your finger. This is the atheric.

Or have the same twilight as above, have your back to a large mirror, relax and adjust your eyes to the light. Then slowly turn around and look into the mirror, you will see the same silvery light. That is your atheric aura

As you develop the ability to see an aura you will soon learn to see in colour. After learning what forms of aura you can recognise the meaning of the colours.

What forms of aura then mastering the colours divinations will also help you.

After the auric Body I have found there are three separate "bands" or lines of colour demarcation. It may take time to perceive them as being three separate and distinct sections because the colours sometimes blend and bleed one into the other, but I believe they are there. The best way I can think of to describe the Outer auric Sections is to imagine a dot and then draw a circle around the dot, then a second circle around the first and a third circle around the second... with the dot in the middle. The dot represents the auric Body and the three circles the Outer auric Section.

I have personally come to think of these Outer auric Circles as: Past, Present and Future. The Past section is the one closest to the auric Body; the Present is the section of colour right after the Past and the Future section are normally the outer colours that tend to be wisps or a very thin, fine line of colour at times barely perceptible.

This is the technique that works best for me.

THE PAST CIRCLE 

The Past are the colours that are closest to the Auric Body and represent the lessons, traumas, memories, disease, triumphs and victories of the person. Those things that are still very much a part of the person.

As you observe the colours of the Past, look for those colours that stand out from the rest. Those are usually memories and issues that the person you are reading is still grappling with. The more vibrant the colour, the more important it is for the person to come to terms with this. Lighter colours tend to indicate those lessons and issues that the person has internalized and has moved on about... unlike the more vibrant ones that are still pending and unresolved.

THE PRESENT CIRCLE

Like the Past, the Present will also give you a pretty good idea of what is happening in the person's life now. However, because the Present is mid way between the Past and the Future, acting as a bridge between both, you may see colours bleeding in from the Past and from the Future. These may appear as thin, spidery veins, crossing the Present circle. Try to pinpoint the origin of this colour thread....does it come from the Past? If so, then this is an issue that the person has not dealt with and consciously has buried and that is definitely affecting their current situation. If the colour is originating in the Future (farthest away from the Auric Body) this may be an indication that the issues associated and characteristic of this colour may be carried over from past lives and are still unresolved and thus still out there in the future of things...

The colours of the Present Auric Circle are to be read a little more closely than the Past. Here is where decisions are made, judgments are called for, lessons are learned, joy and triumph, sorrow and loss is experienced, physical and emotional pain is recorded, and the experiences of the past as well as the characteristics of the Auric Body are expressed.

Look for the subtle differences in colours, textures are important as well. Do you perceive more pastels than the brighter gem colours? Are the colours muted or deep? Are there metallic hues here and there? What about the texture of the colours? Are they flat, fluffy, grainy, smooth, and satiny. Look at the colours themselves. Are they bright and clear or smoky and blurred?

All of these mean something.

THE FUTURE AURIC CIRCLE 

The Future Auric Circle is the band of colours or a single colour which is usually seen as a thin, fine and wispy line of colour at the very edge of the aura. It usually flares and peaks.

Studying these thin, wispy lines, which are usually in a rainbow colour pattern, tells us a great deal about the aims and goals of the person. Those colours that tend to peak are areas of concern for the person and should be given special care and attention for they often symbolize issues that may be entering the person's life.

DEFINITIONS AND ASSOCIATIONS

What parameters do I use in interpreting colours, shapes, movement, textures? These are associations I have learned that seem natural and correct for me. As in all esoteric things, you must also explore what feels best and natural for you.

AURA COLOUR: Relates to the physical body, hart or circulation. The densest colour, it creates the most friction. Friction attracts or repels; money worries or obsessions; anger or UN forgiveness; anxiety or nervousness

Deep Red: Grounded, realistic, active, strong will-power, survival-oriented.

Muddied red: Anger (repelling)

Clear red: Powerful, energetic, competitive, sexual, and passionate

Pink-bright and light: Loving, tender, sensitive, sensual, artistic, affection, purity, compassion; new or revived romantic relationship. May also indicate clairaudience.

Dark and murky pink: Immature and/or dishonest nature

Orange Red: Confidence, creative power

In a good, bright and pure state, red energy can serve as a healthy ego.

ORANGE AURA COLOUR: Relates to reproductive organs and emotions. The colour of vitality, vigour, good health and excitement. Lots of energy and stamina, creative, productive, adventurous, courageous, outgoing social nature; currently experiencing stress related to appetites and addictions;

Orange-Yellow: Creative, intelligent, detail oriented, perfectionist, scientific.

YELLOW AURA COLOUR: Relates to the spleen and life energy. It is the colour of awakening, inspiration, intelligence and action shared, creative, playful, optimistic, and easy-going.

Light or pale yellow: Emerging psychic and spiritual awareness; optimism and hopefulness; positive excitement about new ideas.

Bright lemon-yellow: Struggling to maintain power and control in a personal or business relationship; fear of losing control, prestige, respect, and/or power.

Clear gold metallic, shiny and bright: Spiritual energy and power activated and awakened; an inspired person.

Dark brownish yellow or gold: A student or one who is straining at studying; overly analytical to the point of feeling fatigued or stressed; trying to make up for "lost time" by learning everything all at once.

GREEN AURA COLOUR: Relates to heart and lungs. It is a very comfortable, healthy colour of nature. When seen in the aura this usually represents growth and balance, and most of all, something that leads to change. Love of people, animals, nature; teacher; social

Bright emerald green: A healer, also a love-centred person

Yellow-Green: Creative with heart, communicative

Dark or muddy forest green: Jealousy, resentment, feeling like a victim of the world; blaming self or others; insecurity and low self-esteem; lack of understanding personal responsibility; sensitive to perceived criticism

Turquoise: Relates to the immune system. Sensitive, compassionate, healer, therapist.

BLUE AURA COLOR: Relates to the throat, thyroid. Cool, calm, and collected. Caring, loving, love to help others, sensitive, intuitive.

Soft blue: Peacefulness, clarity and communication; truthful; intuitive

Bright royal blue: Clairvoyant; highly spiritual nature; generous; on the right path; new opportunities are coming

Dark or muddy blue: Fear of the future; fear of self-expression; fear of facing or speaking the truth

INDIGO AURA COLOUR: Relates to the third eye, visual and pituitary gland. Intuitive, sensitive, deep feeling.

VIOLET AURA COLOR: Relates to crown, pineal gland and nervous system. The most sensitive and wisest of colours. This is the intuitive colour in the aura, and reveals psychic power of attunement with self. Intuitive, visionary, futuristic, idealistic, artistic, magical.

LAVENDER AURA COLOUR: Imagination, visionary, daydreamer, etheric.

SILVER AURA COLOUR: This is the colour of abundance, both spiritual and physical. Lots of bright silver can reflect to plenty of money, and/or awakening of the cosmic mind.

Bright metallic silver: Receptive to new ideas; intuitive; nurturing

Dark and muddy grey: Residue of fear is accumulating in the body, with a potential for health problems, especially if grey clusters seen in specific areas of the body

GOLD AURA COLOUR: The colour of enlightenment and divine protection. When seen within the aura, it says that the person is being guided by their highest good. It is divine guidance. Protection, wisdom, inner knowledge, spiritual mind, intuitive thinker.

BLACK AURA COLOUR: Draws or pulls energy to it and in so doing, transforms it. It captures light and consumes it. Usually indicates long-term UN forgiveness (toward others or another) collected in a specific area of the body, which can lead to health problems; also, entitities within a person's aura, chakras, or body; past life hurts; unreleased grief from abortions if it appears in the ovaries

WHITE AURA COLOUR: Reflects other energy. A pure state of light. Often represents a new, not yet designated energy in the aura. Spiritual, etheric and non-physical qualities, transcendent, higher dimensions. Purity and truth; angelic qualities.

White sparkles or flashes of white light: angels are nearby; can indicate that the person is pregnant or will be soon

EARTH AURA COLOURS: Soil, wood, mineral, plant. These colours display a love of the Earth, of being grounded and is seen in those who live and work on the outdoors....construction, farming, etc. These colours are important and are a good sign.

RAINBOWS: Rainbow-coloured stripes, sticking out like sunbeams from the hand, head or body: A Reiki healer, or a star person (someone who is in the first incarnation on Earth)

PASTELS: A sensitive blend of light and colour, more so than basic colours. Shows sensitivity and a need for serenity.

DIRTY BROWN OVERLAY: Holding on to energies. Insecurity.

DIRTY GREY OVERLY: Blocking energies. On Guard
